Avoid touristic places and visit places off the beaten tracks with our Wadi Rum off-road tour! Discover the wildest part of the desert, less frequented areas, far from the village and inside the protected area.

  • Duration : 1 day and 1 night
  • Start time :
    • 10.00am year round
    • If you prefer to arrive for the overnight first, plan to be here between 4.00-5.00pm in winter or 5.00-6.00pm in summer, and then have your tour the next day.
  • End time :
    • The next day around 8.30am
  • All inclusive :
    • English speaking bedouin guide for the whole duration of the tour
    • Shared jeep tour (6 persons maximum per jeep and per guide)
    • 3 meals and all drinks (lunch, dinner, breakfast. All bottles of water, tea and soda are provided)
    • One night in the camp or under the stars (all the necessary to sleep is provided).

Program of the jeep tour & stops

  • Morning : Firstly, we meet each other in Rum village. Then we start the Wadi Rum Off-road tour by leaving the village by jeep or camel (if you opt for riding a camel at the beginning of the tour) to enter into the desert to visit different sites: Al Qattar, one of the most impressive mountain of Wadi Rum. Then we drive to Chicken Rock, Um Ghadah, all beautiful sites far away from famous and frequented areas.
  • Lunchtime : After this half day, we take a break in a quiet and beautiful place, and we prepare a Bedouin meal for you.
  • Afternoon : After lunch, we continue the tour by visiting Bedouin Dam where you will learn about how bedouins collect rainwater. Then we drive further south until Double Bridge, Nuqra Canyon and Wadi Sabet, an amazing valley. To finish the day we head to a place with an amazing view to enjoy the sunset.
  • Night : At night, depending the option you choose, you sleep in the camp or under the stars. Our guides are dedicated to you, they serve the dinner, and they are available to talk about bedouin culture and stories, playing cards or even dance listening bedouin music.
  • The next morning : Around 7AM we take the breakfast, you have time to prepare your backpack and enjoy your last moments in the desert. We drive back with the jeep to the village around 8.30AM. Please note, If you opt for riding a camel at the end of the tour, you will be back at the village shortly after (1h camel : around 9.30AM / 2h camel : around 10.30AM).

    You sleep in a private bedouin tent fully equipped. Sharing bathroom with toilets and showers are available. We take the diner together in the communal tent.

    We install your bivouac near the camp, we provide all the necessary to sleep.
    You take the diner in the communal tent, you have access to the bathroom facilities

    For you adventurer, who likes evenings outdoor aroud the campfire.

    The cave is not a closed place, in fact is more an overhanging rock. A guide is dedicated to you, he settled the bivouac with campfire and diner. We provide all the necessary to sleep.

Camel ride
  • Cave night supplement :
    The night under the stars (bivouac) in the cave costs 15 JOD in addition per person and per night. This is a seasonally available option. During the months of November, December and January we do not offer bivouac.
  • Extra night
    You can add an pre-night in the bedouin camp before your tour, the cost is 30JD/person, everything included (dinner, breakfast and transfer).
  • Private jeep tour
    Private jeep tour costs 40 JD in addition per day. You do not share the tour with other guests, the guide is privately dedicated to you the whole day tour and night if you opt for bivouac.
  • Children prices
    Children under 13 is 25% discount
    Children under 7 is 50% discount
    Children under 3 is free of charge
  • Large groups
    Prices for groups of more than 8 persons are available on request.
  • Jeep tour information
    Our jeep tours are shared tours and are constituted of 6 persons maximum, unless you book for a group of more than 6. Our guides are not only drivers, they are real bedouin guides who share their knowledges about the desert with you.
  • Booking information
    You can book a tour online via our form. After receiving your reservation, we send you a confirmation which contains all details about your trip.
    In addition, we support you in the organization of your experience. We can help you with car, bus or taxi transfer, just let us know in the reservation.
