Jeep tour · Become a Bedouin

Welcome to our tribe! We will plan your memorable Wadi Rum jeep tour with overnight at our camp. Visit the most famous sites the first day and discover our secret places off the beaten tracks on the second day. Two nights will allow you to try both overnight options: at the main camp and under the stars. Soak up the bedouin atmosphere as much as possible.

 

  • Duration : 2 days and 2 nights
  • Start time :
    • 10.00am year round
    • If you prefer to arrive for first overnight or pre-night in the afternoon/evening, plan to be here between 4.00-5.00pm in winter or 5.00-6.00pm in summer. Then you can begin your tour the next day.
  • End time :
    • Around 8.30am
  • Included in this tour :
    • English speaking bedouin guide for the whole duration of the tour
    • 2 days shared jeep tour (6 persons maximum per jeep and per guide)
    • 6 meals and all drinks (lunch, dinner, breakfast. All bottles of water, tea and soda are provided)
    • 2 nights in the camp or/and under the stars (all the necessities to sleep are provided).

Program of the jeep tour & stops

  • Day 1 :On the first day of your Wadi Rum excursion we explore the most famous sites in the desert. They are also the most frequented, but they are spectacular and must-see places in Wadi Rum. You can't miss them.

    First, we meet each other in Rum village. Then we start the jeep tour by leaving the village with jeep or camel (if you opt for riding a camel at the beginning of the tour) to enter into the desert to visit different sites : Lawrence Spring, Khazali Canyon, Anfishyyeh inscriptions, Red Sand Dune, Little Bridge and Lawrence House. After this half day, we take a break in a quiet and beautiful place, and we prepare a Bedouin meal for you. After the lunch, we continue the jeep tour to visit Mushroom rock, Burdah rock bridge, Abu Khashaba canyon, and Um Fruth Rock Bridge. Lastly we drive to a place with a amazing view and we enjoy the sunset.
    At night, depending the option you choose, you sleep in the camp or under the stars. Our guides are dedicated to you: they serve the dinner, and they are available to talk about bedouin culture and stories, play cards or even dance while listening to bedouin music.
  • Day 2 : The second day, unique atmosphere; we drive further south to discover the wildest part of Wadi Rum, which is the less frequented and visited area. Escape tourists, we drive you to our secret places, off beaten the tracks. This part of the desert is the most impressive and the most beautiful.

    Around 7AM we enjoy the breakfast, and you have time to prepare your backpack. We start our new day by visiting Umm Mumghur Canyon, Nuqra Canyon, Bedouin Dam and Wadi Sabet view. Then, the guide prepares a traditional meal for lunch. In the afternoon, you visit your last places: Um Ghadah Canyon, Double Bridge, Al Qattar and Cow Rock.
    At night, depending on the option you choose, you sleep in the camp or under the stars. As on the first night, our team is available for you to exchange, enjoy and tell you more about our way of life.
  • End of the tour : Around 7AM we have breakfast.  You have time to prepare your backpack and enjoy your last moments in the desert. We drive back with the jeep to the village around 8.30AM. Please note, if you opt for riding a camel at the end of the tour, you will be back at the village shortly after (1h camel : around 9.30AM / 2h camel : around 10.30AM).

    For you, comfort lover, our five stars bedouin bed is waiting for you.

    You sleep in a private bedouin tent fully equipped. Shared bathroom with toilets and showers are available. We enjoy the dinner together in the communal tent.

    For you, semi-adventurer, comfort is never too far, no need to choose!

    We install your bivouac near the camp, we provide all that is necessary to sleep.
    You have dinner in the communal tent, and you have access to the bathroom facilities

  • 3. Bivouac in bedouin cave

    For you, adventurer, who likes evenings outdoors around the campfire.

    The cave is not a closed place-- in fact is more an overhanging rock. A guide is dedicated to you. He arranges the bivouac with campfire and dinner. We provide all that is necessary to sleep.

  • Wadi Rum Excursion: Camel ride
  • 1 hour camel ride = 20JOD / person
  • 2 hours camel ride = 30JOD / person
  • One camel per person accompanied by one guide
Camel ride
  • Cave night supplement :
    The night under the stars (bivouac) in the cave costs 15 JOD in addition per person and per night. This is a seasonally available option. During the months of November, December and January we do not offer bivouac.
  • Extra night
    You can add a pre-night in the bedouin camp before your tour, the cost is 30 JD/person, everything included (dinner, breakfast and transfer).
  • Private jeep tour
    Private jeep tour costs 40 JD in addition per day. You do not share the tour with other guests, the guide is privately dedicated to you the whole day tour and night if you opt for bivouac.
  • Children prices
    Children under 13 is 25% discount
    Children under 7 is 50% discount
    Children under 3 is free of charge
  • Large groups
    Prices for groups of more than 8 persons are available on request.
  • Jeep tour information
    Our jeep tours are shared tours and are constituted of 6 persons maximum, unless you book for a group of more than 6. Note that our guides are not only drivers, they are real bedouin guides who share their knowledge of the desert with you.
  • Booking information
    You can book a Wadi Rum excursion online via our form. After receiving your reservation, we send you a confirmation which contains all details about your trip.
    In addition, we support you in the organization of your experience. We can help you with car, bus or taxi transfer. Just let us know in the reservation.
